manifune “You should realize that your existence is an immeasurable happiness” |

The world appears in the state of the true essence where borderline between coincidence and inevitability disappears.
The phase “ Manifune”was born one night, half conscious typing with unconscious mind, with exhaustion composing music day and night.
The phrase appeared on the screen of the PC was printed in my memory in depth with strange presence.
And the phase “Manifune” is beginning to have heart beat for certain now. |

Ryuji Enokida
As a young musician in his early 20's, Ryuji Enokida was forced to suspend his musical activities due to a serious injury sustained in an automobile accident. This unfortunate incident ultimately proved to be a blessing however, as it was through the process of overcoming this injury that Ryuji experienced the intrinsic inseparability between music and the body, and awakened to a new perspective towards life, which continues to fuel his work in improvisational music to this day. Ryuji's singing is at times the soul shattering roars of a jungle beast, at other times, the fragile whispers of a wind at dawn, and covers an impressive three octaves in range. Today he collaborates with artists from a wide range of fields, including theatre, cinema, dance, and modern art.
As the director of Yokohama Art Project - an NGO dedicated to sensory education for children - Ryuji also produces a yearly student film festival, an exchange program between Japan, China and Korea focusing on cinematic culture, and also heads a reforestation project in Kenya.
